Slide4 : Dr. Nellie Deutsch (Ed.D) is internationally known as a relationship, transformative, and collaborative based mentor, researcher, writer, speaker, and community builder; expert in implementing educational technology, WizIQ, and Moodle; organizes and moderates online conferences, MOOCs, research studies, mindfulness practice, teacher training and professional development courses. She presents at face-to-face conferences worldwide. She ’ s been teaching English as a foreign language in high school and higher education for the past 38 years. She ’ s an instructor at a teachers ’ college, community college, Atlantic University Masters of Arts in Transpersonal and leadership studies online.

Slide5 : María J. García San Martín , @mjgsm . Technical and Pedagogical Advisor at the National Institute for Educational Technologies and Teacher Training (INTEF) in the Spanish Ministry of Education. Master ’ s Degree Teacher at University Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) in Madrid. Online Teacher Trainer at the Virtual School by Castilla-La Mancha. Over the last 30 years, she has been an ESL teacher at various levels, private centres and state-run Schools of Languages, coordinated various teacher training and educational resources projects for INTEF, broadcasted educational series of podcasts for the state-run Network of Best Educational IT Practices as well as for EducaconTIC, managed the National Blog on IT and Foreign Languages for INTEF, contributed to the Spanish state-run WikiDidácTICa, Agrega (educational open source resource bank by the Spanish Ministry of Education), and Internet en el Aula, where she was in charge of hosting weekly educational webinars at Wiziq. She currently writes her Stop and Learn English blog. From time to time she contributes to the MOOC Observatory for UniMOOC, Cero en Conducta (Professional Social Network on Media Literacy and Audiovisual Language) and The Observatory for Technological and Educational Innovation (ODITE).

Slide6 : Karen Blumberg is a Technology Coordinator at The School at Columbia University working with faculty and students to integrate technology academically, respectfully, and responsibly. Karen organizes TEDx events, Edcamps, and the Robo Expo. She is a former president of the New York Consortium of Independent School Technologists and was recognized as a Teacher of the Future by the National Association of Independent Schools. Karen has presented widely about using design thinking, reimagining professional development, developing technology-enhanced projects, and harnessing new media literacies. http://karenblumberg.com

Slide7 : A research psychologist who combines her thirty-year fascination with exceptional experiences with her passion for teaching, Dr. Zingrone is an adjunct faculty member in the School of Psychology at Northcentral University, an eager member of Dr. Nellie Deustch ’ s various teaching and learning networks, a sometime Moodle and WizIQ facilitator for that network, and the curator and co-founder of The AZIRE Library and Learning Center in Second Life (come visit us: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Madhupak/155/87/60 ). She is also the co-organizer of a MOOC-in-progress on WizIQ, the experience of which will be the topic of her talk for CO15. Slide8 : Joanna Norton is a teacher, teacher-educator and mobile content entrepreneur working at the intersection of creativity, ELT and science. She is a proponent of including more corpus-based learning within classroom practice and uses such methodologies as the starting point for mobile app development. Joanna lectures at the University of the Arts in central London and is primarily interested in the overlap between literacy, creativity and STEM. She runs creative training workshops for teachers in the area of ideas generation, pedagogy and mobile technology and is a keen advocate of STEM/STEAM/STREAM education.

July 1994 - Exam Proficiency British Consul; June 1995 - diploma of the Polish-American Postgraduate Study of Communication, organized by Wroclaw Polytechnics, the University of Wroclaw and the Central Connecticut State University. I am a teacher from Poland. I teach Polish as a second language and English. I also conduct lectures in English on Polish History and Culture for students from all over the world. I have been interested in Cultural Diversity for a long time. I take advantage of WizIQ since I found the Platform. Possibility to meet people from the entire Globe is one of the reasons I appreciate online communication, very much. In my view, sharing is caring. Slide10 : Dr. Janet Salmons (Ph.D) is an independent scholar, writer and consultant through Vision2Lead .com . Janet has served on the online graduate faculty of the Capella University School of Business since 1999. Her inquiry into emerging online methods for research and instruction has resulted in development of numerous models including the “ E-Interview Research Framework ” (2012, 2015), the “ Typology of Online Visual Interview Methods ” (Salmons, 2010, 2012) and the “ Taxonomy of Online Collaboration ” (Salmons, 2009, 2014).

Slide11 : Janet Bianchini Janet Bianchini has worked in the field of EFL both as a teacher and teacher trainer since 1979. She has a BA in French, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in TEFL, and is a DELTA qualified tutor. She has been an online moderator since 2010 and has a keen interest in integrating technology into her lessons. She is one of the 15 collaborators and co-authors of Connecting Online, Instruction for Learning: International Perspectives , published in 2013 by Dr Nellie Deutsch. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner, and is always seeking to develop professionally, and to improve her teaching skills. She enjoys being a learner on online classes, and is always keen to explore something new. She has been a presenter at Connecting Online since 2011. Her particular field of interest is in using comics and cartoons in her lessons. She curates the popular Comics and Cartoons Scoop.it site and hosts a blog called Janet ’ s Abruzzo Edublog .

Slide12 : Vance Stevens was 20 years an EFL lecturer and CALL coordinator before becoming CALL software developer and consultant, lecturer in computing, English teacher coordinator at a Naval College in Abu Dhabi, and most recently, English teacher at the UAE air college in Al Ain. He founded Webheads in Action in 1998 and has coordinated that community of practice ever since, including organizing three free international online teacher conferences, WiAOC . He was founding member and past chair of the CALL-IS in TESOL, he has taught in two of TESOL's online professional development programs, and is a coordinator of the TESOL-affiliated Electronic Village Online sessions, where he has facilitated sessions each year since 2002.  He has been working for the past decade on promoting professional development and learner autonomy via social media and collaboration in online spaces; e.g. his webinar archive blog http://learning2gether.net/ . Slide13 : Dr. Ebba Ossiannilsson earned her PhD from Oulu University, Finland in 2012, with a dissertation o n international benchmarking, and quality enhancement on e-learning in Higher Education . Her research interests are in collaborative learning from the rhizome perspectives, on the challenges of creating and sharing cultures and innovative learning spaces as OER and MOOC. She has a special interest in benchmarking and quality related issues. Ossiannilsson is highly active in sharing trends and innovation and the utilization of technology in the educational sector in social media and networks. She serves as consultant in quality in e-learning and serves as certified quality reviewer. She serves as reviewer in international Journals, and publish herself as well,for Conferences, Journals and book chapters.Ossiannilsson is boardmember in EDEN-NAP and SADE and she awarded the EDEN Fellow 2014 from Lund University Sweden.

Slide14 : Stephen Downes works at the intersection of learning, technology, philosophy and media. A program leader at Canada ’ s national Research Council specializing in Learning and Performance Support Systems, Downes also authors the widely read OLDaily Newsletter. He is known for his work in learning networks and connectivism, as the co-inventor of the MOOC, for helping develop the concept of the personal learning environment, and for promotion and definition of free learning and open educational resources. Slide15 : Anita Zijdemans Boudreau is an associate professor in education. Her work as an educational practitioner blends technology integration, teacher development, virtual learning space design, within a scholarship of teaching and learning framework.

Slide16 : Dr. Mary Hricko is a Professor, University Libraries at Kent State University and the Regional Academic Center.Her research includes topics on online education, assessment, and faculty development. She has published numerous articles and books on online assessment and quality assurance in online education.

Slide17 : Norm Vaughan . An educator and researcher with interests in blended learning, faculty development and K to 12 schooling, Dr. Norm Vaughan is a Professor in the Faculty of Teaching and Learning at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. Norm has co-authored the books Teaching in Blended Learning Environments: Creating and Sustaining Communities of Inquiry (2013) and Blended Learning in Higher Education (2008) and he has published a series of articles on blended learning and faculty development.
