Have a question or want to say something? Post it here.I have lacerated my fdp tendon on my pinkie finger (not sure if full or partial) and am scheduled for surgery on Monday. I haven’t lost any feeling and I feel like I can sense slight movement in the top when I try to flex it. Having done research into the recovery and levels of patent satisfaction I am honestly considering not having the procedure done. The laceration was not vastly deep. are there any major complications that could arise, not including the sacrifice of movement in my fingertip, from not going ahead with the procedure? I am 23-year-old boxer and exercise is an essential part of my life - I don’t know if I can go 3 or so months without working out and am seriously having doubts over the surgery. Also, many people report scar tissue inhibiting their ability to flex the joint anyway so is it worth it? Any advice would be appreciated 👍🏻
