Teaching & Learning in a Live Virtual Classroom at EdMedia
Description
People do not need to travel to reach a class or to learn from an expert. They can set a time and learn together in an online virtual classroom. Participants, who are unable to access the virtual class, can watch the video recordings of the class. Learning is becoming more and more engaging as teachers and students meet online in live virtual classrooms. The virtual classroom is suitable for teamwork, professional development, and for audio and video recording for students in the flipped classroom. Virtual classes have a whiteboard, writing tools, media sharing, audio and video speaking tools, a chat box for texting, breakout rooms, polls, & screen sharing features. Participants can share images, audio, video, PDF, Word, and other files through the class library or directly from their desktops. PowerPoint presentations may include full animations. The information in the chat box can be copied and saved throughout the class for later use.
