WizIQ wins the World Education Public Choice Award at World Education Awards 2011 in the “Best Innovation in Open and Distance Learning” category, where there were four nominations from strong international competitors who were nominated for their OBOW examinations.
To showcase innovations, technological advancements and to encourage educational institutions adopt new technologies, a three day summit, The World Education Awards 2011, was held at hotel Ashoka, New Delhi, India, from July 13-15. The core objectives of this conference were to bring reforms in education, introduce technological innovation, improve the quality of education at all levels and increase student employability upon graduation.
This summit was jointly organized by IGNOU, Centre for Science Development and Media Studies, and Elets Techno media, inaugurated by Indian union HRD minister Mr. Kapil Sibal, and attended by Ministers of Education of Bhutan and Jordon, in addition to top government officials and a host of distinguished names from abroad.
There were contests for awards in 30 different categories with 150 nominations nationally and internationally in which WizIQ.com won the “World Education Public Choice Award” in the “Best Innovation in Open and Distance Learning” category, where there were four strong international nominations in the group.
Over 300 delegates from national and international educational bodies including policy makers in the education sector participated in this summit.
The valedictory function was chaired by Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India in a glittering ceremony. The summit saw representatives from 20 countries.
