About the Class

Multicellular organisms develop from a single cell known as zygote by the process of mitosis. Asexual reproduction in some organisms like amoeba and vegetative reproduction in plants takes place by mitosis. This type of cell division involves many steps and it does not alter the genetic material. Let us explore various steps of mitosis in detail.
