About Maximira Carlota

I have started teaching English Courses world wide on the web in 2005, and it was a so enriching experience for me that I am to present it on my Phd thesis this year (2011). It is really interesting to help others learn English in an environment that promotes no cultural or geographical barriers, but mutual respect and a cooperative work. My experience has proved learning on the web can be an amusing and enriching experience. Multi-cultural groups help us to achieve our goals faster and on a truly relaxing atmosphere. I like it mostly because it allows us to expand our networking and grow as human beings.

Actually my teaching experience started much earlier than this. I was 9 or 10 when I first taught my 3 dolls the very first English lessons I had been taught at school. When I was 16 I reached the end of my high school and also concluded the English Private Course I had been studying for about 7 years. At this time, I started teaching in this Private Course I knew as a student, whilst started the college of Languages. I graduated in it after 4 years, and was invited to teach at this college (Catholic University of Pelotas). I was 21 at that time (long time ago.. :) and this was my beginning.

I went through an extense exam to teach in this place. Hopefully I succeeded. I got it in first place and I was also the first one to arrive in class, early in the morning.Due to distance reasons (I used to live in another city at this time) I quit it after 3 years.

In 2005 I gave WEB a good try and launched some English courses (similar to the ones I have offered here in WiziQ) in a similar social network. Like WiziQ, it was possible for me and students interact via text, video and audio on a friendly environment. In 2011 I decided to quit it and get started in WiziQ because of the many extra resources WiziQ seeems to offer teachers and students. I am looking forward to checking it out soon.
