Course Description

During this webinar we will explore a number of communication tools I have used to connect parents to our school. Communication with parents is one of our main responsibilities. There are a variety of tools, always increasing in variety that you can use to connect to your parents. It is not good enough to use one tool; you have to look at a variety of tools depending on your audience and the message you are trying to get out there.

You also have to get a good sense of the community you are working with. Apart from exploring some of the tools I have used, I will also discuss some of the challenges that exist when trying to connect to communities that are not as comfortable with social media – for me this is a real learning journey!

I will also touch on some of the ways I try to engage my staff through blogging. I am a frequent blogger and I believe that it is a great way to keep in contact with your staff as well.

Who Should attend:

Educators who are looking for ways to connect to their parent community more effectively.
