I was born and educated in India. Now, I am based in South Africa.

I got my Masters in mathematics from the University of Kerala and a teaching qualification -HED (Postgraduate) from the University of South Africa.

I have 36 years of experience in teaching mathematics at both O and A Levels. I served the departments of education in the following countries.

1. Tanzania (1975-1982)
2. Nigeria (1982- 1989)
3. Lesotho (1989-1990)
4. South Africa (1990-2011)

I was Head of Department of Mathematics at Hendrik Kanise High School in South Africa.

After my retirement from the South African Department of Education, I am now actively involved in a Mathematics Development Program under Rhodes University to improve the mathematics proficiency among the High School students in South Africa.

I am also an online mathematics teacher offering private tuition to students all over the world in the various mathematics curricula prescribed for GCSE, IGCSE, CBSE, PLUS1 & 2, A & As Level (Edexel) etc.

In addition to teaching mathematics (Grade 9- Grade 12), I was involved in upgrading the knowledge of the teachers in the subject, supervising their work, moderating examination papers prepared by them and moderating the marked scripts. I was also a marker for the external examination in mathematics for Grade 12 conducted by the department of education.

I was a member of AMESA (Association of Mathematics Education of South Africa). I presented a paper at the AMESA Conference at Wits University in 2011.

I worked in different countries as a mathematics educator since August1975 till Dec 2011. I was Head of Department of Mathematics during my tenure in South Africa (1990-2011). My position in addition to teaching mathematics involved monitoring the work of other teachers, running seminars for them in terms of the subject and moderating examination papers etc. I was also a marker of the external examination in mathematics for Grade 12.
