Slide 10 : Make sure they are in a specific role with a designated leader to track and assess them Do not double-role them – keep them focused on one area so they aren’t confused Allocation

Slide 12 : Make sure there the member has a JOB DESCRIPTION I have given examples of Job Descriptions in previous training sessions Make sure it’s clear and concise on what the role will entail Job Descriptions

Slide 14 : Measures need to be taken to train the members of each role of how they are to complete their task(s) At the beginning, each leader needs to assume that their member knows NOTHING of how to go about their job description Training and Education

Slide 17 : Come up with tangible, numerical goals for a member to achieve within a certain timeline It is important to have both long-term and short-term goals in order for your members to gain a perspective that encourages sustainability within the organization Goal Setting

Slide 18 : Members may not be satisfied with incessant talk about numbers If this is the case, make the goals fun and meaningful! Give the members physical examples of outputs that will be obtained from their goals Goal Setting

Slide 19 : For example: Goal: 3 Media appearances before November 31 Example: Give member an old media release or newspaper article Goal: 10 Marketing calls by November 31 Example: Bring in a previous TN taker to speak with your CR team about how much of a difference an AIESECer made at his/her company Goal: 3 Re-integrated alumni by November 31 Example: Have previous alumni speak to your AR team about what they have done for AIESEC as an alumni, and the possibilities that can arise if more alumni are found Goal Setting

Slide 21 : Every goal that is set for the members needs to be reminded to the members at each portfolio meeting a progress report on the goals should be given by the member on the completion of the goal Googledocs are usually very useful when creating tracking documents Tracking

Slide 23 : A discussion must be made with each member on the completion or incompletion of each goal Leaders must give praise where its is deserved Leaders must give admonishments when required Follow-up

Slide 25 : Taking Responsibility is not only about doing work and being stressed. It’s also about: ENJOYING PARTICIPATION Increase Participation
