Slide 17 : Come up with tangible, numerical goals for a member to achieve within a certain timeline
It is important to have both long-term and short-term goals in order for your members to gain a perspective that encourages sustainability within the organization Goal Setting
Slide 18 : Members may not be satisfied with incessant talk about numbers
If this is the case, make the goals fun and meaningful!
Give the members physical examples of outputs that will be obtained from their goals Goal Setting
Slide 19 : For example:
Goal: 3 Media appearances before November 31
Example: Give member an old media release or newspaper article
Goal: 10 Marketing calls by November 31
Example: Bring in a previous TN taker to speak with your CR team about how much of a difference an AIESECer made at his/her company
Goal: 3 Re-integrated alumni by November 31
Example: Have previous alumni speak to your AR team about what they have done for AIESEC as an alumni, and the possibilities that can arise if more alumni are found Goal Setting
Slide 20 : Stanley
Slide 21 : Every goal that is set for the members needs to be reminded to the members at each portfolio meeting
a progress report on the goals should be given by the member on the completion of the goal
Googledocs are usually very useful when creating tracking documents Tracking
Slide 22 : Stanley
Slide 23 : A discussion must be made with each member on the completion or incompletion of each goal
