Joan will have gotten close to Jim and will have asked her father to leave him alone. But then he will have started yelling at her too. They will have had a bad argument and will have been at each other’s throats. Then her father will have picked up a rope to whip Joan if she didn’t go in the house. Joan’s father will have pushed her up the steps. Jim will have gotten angry and will have tried to stop him. But Joan’s father will have elbowed him in the face and will have broken his nose. Then he will have kicked Jim down the steps. Jim he will have jumped in his car. He will have known that Tom is the cause of this mess as he drove down the road. So, he will have gone to Tom’s home, but found that no one is there. He will have broken the window and will have set Tom’s sofa on fire.
