Photosynthesis is the process of converting carbon-di-oxide into compounds such as sugars.The plant will perform this process in the presence of sunlight and they prepare a food for themselves by this process.That's why they are called as autotrophs.They consume CO2 and water and releases oxygen as waste which is used by us for respiration.This process can also be said as starting of life...as it give food and oxygen.
