Moodle
A very popular Learning-Management System
From Wikipedia, Moodle (abbreviation for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is a free and open-source e-learning software platform, also known as a Course Management System, Learning Management System, or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). As of January 2010[update] it had a user base of 45,721 registered and verified sites, serving 32 million users in 3 million courses. [3]
SecondLife
A 3D Vitural World - use your imagaination, you can probably do whatever you want. It's open for possibilities. Use it your ways. Depends on who you are or who you want to be in the SL.

Platform
From Wikipedia - Second Life (SL) is a virtual world developed by Linden Lab that launched in 2003, and is accessible on the Internet. A free client program called the Viewer enables its users, called Residents, to interact with each other through avatars.[1] Residents can explore, meet other residents, socialize, participate in individual and group activities, and create and trade virtual property and services with one another, or travel throughout the world (which residents refer to as "the grid").
During a 2001 meeting with investors, Rosedale noticed that the participants were particularly responsive to the collaborative, creative potential of Second Life. As a result the initial objective-driven, gaming focus of Second Life was shifted to a more user-created, community-driven experience.
SLOODLE
SLOODLE is a free and open source project which integrates the multi-user virtual environment of Second Life® with the Moodle® learning-management system.
