Slide 4 : WEEK 2: AN OVERVIEW Moodle allows designers to create a learning environment based on constructivist views.   Constructivism: a learning theory       Learning is a complex interaction between the learners and the facilitators         New information is built upon existing information: learning is a process that builds upon prior knowledge to create a new comprehension

The facilitator - Two Main Tasks : The facilitator - Two Main Tasks dictates facts to be regurgitated by the learner encourages examination and introspection amongst the learners in order to arrive at new truths. During this week we had an opportunity to explore the constructivist nature of Moodle, we completed our individual assignments and designed Professional Development programs.

Constructivism: Moodle Main Concept : Constructivism: Moodle Main Concept Moodle is based on constructivism.    Constructivismis a learning theory that views learning as an interaction between students and teachers to generate and construct new knowledge based on existing information (Driscoll 376).

Moodle Social Constructionist Platform : Moodle Social Constructionist Platform Learners work collaboratively using Moodle's infrastructure, which includes the following: Activities Assignments Resources Forums Wiki WebQuests Database  Graphical themes

What is Moodle For Me? : What is Moodle For Me? Providing authentic learning in a collaborative environment.   Using Moodle will help me to achieve this goal since Moodle  allows a conjunction of resources and activities including Web2.0 tools.
