Well, once upon a time --- BACKGROUND VOICE 1 Copy boy! 2 Make it snappy and hurry back. 1ST OPERATOR 3 Morning Post, city desk...Just one moment please, I'll connect you. 2ND OPERATOR 4 Morning Post... REPORTER 5 If anyone asks (for) me, I'm down at the courthouse. 6 Elevator, hold! Down! Down! OFFICE BOY 7 Hello, Hildy! HILDY 8 OH, Hi ya, Skinny. MAISIE 9 Hi, Hildy. HILDY 10 Hi, how are ya? 11 Tell me, is the lord of the universe in today? MAISIE 12 Yes, he's in, in a bad humor. 13 Somebody must've stolen the crown jewels. 14 Shall we announce you? HILDY 15 OH no, no I'll blow my own horn. 16 Bruce you should wait here, I'll be back in ten minutes. BRUCE 17 Even ten minutes is a long time to be away from you. HILDY 18 What did you say? BRUCE 19 Huh? Wha, uh HILDY 20 Go on. 21 So go ahead. BRUCE 22 Oh I just said that even ten minutes is a long time to be away from ya. HILDY 23 I heard ya the first time. 24 I like it that's why I asked ya to say it again. 25 I can stand being spoiled a little. 26 The gentleman I'm going in to see did very little spoiling. BRUCE 27 I'd like to spoil him just once. 28 Sure you don't want me to go in with you? HILDY 29 Oh no, I can handle it. BRUCE 30 Well if things gets rough, remember I'm here.
