Alpha Secondary 4600 Parker Street Alpha Secondary Highlights: •As a smaller school, Alpha provides international students with a caring and supportive environment where it is easy to make friends and seek added assistance from teachers. •The school offers a strong academic program with a range of Honors and Advanced Placement courses for high-achieving students. Ninety-two percent of Alpha students who wrote AP exams last year scored at levels 3 or more. •It runs an excellent Health and Physical Education program. Alpha’s Senior Boys Soccer team recently won the B.C. Provincial Championships. The B.C. Outstanding Physical Education Teacher award was recently given to an Alpha teacher. •The school houses an extensive Visual and Performing Arts Program which includes Drama, Choir, Band, Dance and Two and Three Dimensional Visual Arts. •Recently two Alpha teachers have been awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
