Sometimes known as PDA phones or personal information managers (PIMs), smartphones have an operating system and local data storage. They also have Internet access, e-mail capabilities, scheduling and contact management software, as well as a built-in camera. One important feature of smartphones is that they allow the user to install third-party software.

Reviews : Reviews Cnet 6.7 out of 10:The T-Mobile MDA is fully stocked with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more.
PCmag 3.0 out of 5.0: A Sidekick for grownups, the T-Mobile MDA handles e-mail and Web browsing over Wi-Fi or EDGE with aplomb. Unfortunately, its lackluster phone performance and the stiff competition from other keyboard smartphones will limit its success.
