Course Description: This course is designed to give students background information on the concepts and theories of the field of sociology. Careful attention will be given to stratification, social class, gender, race and ethnic relations, and theory to name a few. Upon successful completion of this course, students will have a strong understanding of sociological concepts, theories, and be able to critically analyze social issues. Students will have the ability to apply sociological perspectives to practical situations. VIII.
