Meaning of the Word (Ista.aadha)
التلوة بالترتيل (http://attilaawah.multiply.com) كلمة اليوم ( قال ال تعالى في كتابه في سورة النحل ( 16:98 }& يم & رج) ال & ان + ط- شي) ال + ن& م & له2 ال & ب - ذ& ع+ت- اس + ف + آن - ر8ق- ال + ت-أ+ ر+ ا ق + ذ&إ+ {ف } - ذ& ع+ت- س& و نستخرج من هذه الية الفعل { ا } + اذ + ع+ت- س& و من الفعل { ا و من الجذر { ع -و -ذ } و احتمى +أ+ ج+ت-ل& و معناه لغويا: ا و معناه شرعيا : (السعدي) فإذا أردت القراءة لكتاب ال الذي هو أشرف الكتب وأجلها وفيه صلح القلوب والعلوم الكثيرة فإن الشيطان أحرص ما يكون على العبد عند شروعه في المور الفاضلة، فيسعى في صرفه عن مقاصدها ومعانيها. فالطريق إلى السلمة من شره اللتجاء إلى ال، والستعاذة به من شره، فيقول القارئ: {أعوذ ا لمعناها، معتمدا بقلبه على ال في صرفه عنه، مجتهدا في دفع Z بال من الشيطان الرجيم} متدبر وساوسه وأفكاره الرديئة، مجتهدا على السبب القوى في دفعه، وهو التحلي بحلية اليمان والتوكل. (ابن كثير) ^ ن م ` عه aن^ مaيa و _ ه^يaلa ط ع _ل^ خaيa ته و a اء a ر ئ ق _ ار aق^ ى ال aلa س ع _ب^لa ل ي d _ئ ة ل a اء a ر ق^ اء ال a د ت^ب د ا ^ن ة ع a اذ a ع ت^ ي الس _ ى ف a عن^ a م^ ال a و ةa تلو e ل ال ^بa ون ق ` كa ا ت a نمd_ ة إ a اذ a ع ت^ ن الس d a ى أ aل ور إ ` ه^ م` ج^ ال a بa هa ا ذ a ذa ه لa كر ; و g a تفd ال a ر و gبa دd الت Word of the Day Allaah -the Most High -says in His Book in Sooratin-Nahl (16):98, the meaning of which is: } _ يم _ رجd ال _ ان a ط^ شيd ال a ن م _ لهال _ ب ^ ذ عaت^ اس a ف a آن ^ ر`ق^ ال a ت^أa رa ا ق a ذ إa { ف "So when you want to recite the Qur'aan, seek refuge with Allaah from (( (( الشيطان Ash-Shaytaan (Satan), the accursed and rejected." And we extract from this verse, the verb } - ذ& ع+ت- س& { اAnd it is from the verb } + اذ + ع+ت- س& { ا And from the root { ع -و -ذ } And its linguistic meaning is } +أ+ ج+ت-ل&ا } and { ى+ م+ت- ح& { ا to take/seek refuge, seek protection And its meaning according to the Sharee'ah is: (As-Sa'dee) So when you desire the recitation of the Book of Allaah, the Book which is the most exalted and honorable of books as well as the most illustrious and sublime; and it contains that which is suitable for the uprightness of the hearts and (it contains) many sciences; so (because of this), verily (( الشيطان )) Ash-Shaytaan is the most covetous of and greedy for that which the slave (of Allaah) seeks to endeavor upon of the most excellent and superior of affairs; thus he takes steps in averting him (the slave of Allaah) from the objectives and meanings (that are to be attained from) these affairs. Therefore the path to security and safety from his (Shaytaan's) evil is (( (( اللتجاء إلى ال Al-Iltijaa' Ilallaah (i.e. resorting to Allaah) and (( هتعاذة ب الس )) Al-Isti'aadhah Bihi (i.e. seeking refuge with Him) from the evil of (( الشيطان )) Ash-Shaytaan. So (( القارئ )) Al-Qaari' (i.e. the reciter of the Qur'aan) states: { أعوذ بال من الشيطان الرجيم } “I seek refuge in Allaah from (( الشيطان )) Ash-Shaytaan, the accursed and rejected.” pondering and reflecting over its meaning, relying with his heart upon Allaah with regards to Shaytaan's attempts at averting him, diligent at repelling his (Shaytaan's) whisperings and his evil and wicked notions, diligent upon the strongest reason for repelling him and that is adorning oneself with the adornment of (( اليمان )) Al-Eemaan (i.e. faith) and التوكل)) )) At-Tawakkul (complete trust and reliance upon Allaah). (Ibn Katheer) The reason for (( الستعاذة )) Al-Isti'aadhah [seeking refuge (with Allaah)] upon beginning to recite (the Qur'aan) is in order that he [i.e. (( يطان الش )) Ash-Shaytaan] does not complicate or obscure the recitation of the one who is reciting, thus confusing him and preventing him from pondering and reflecting (over the Qur'aan). And because of this, the majority (of the scholars) held the opinion that verily (( الستعاذة )) Al-Isti'aadhah [seeking refuge (with Allaah)] is to take place before one begins to recite (the Qur'aan).
