Slide 15 : The Mindset Workout session Objective of session: A 30 minute 1 – 1 session to help the member get focused on the health and fitness goals they want to achieve and to have the right attitude to attain it.

Slide 17 : The Mindset Workout session The member should bring to the session: The handout with the questions completed Their empower appointment card.

Slide 18 : The Mindset Workout session The reality: Very few watch the DVD or read the handout Very few bring the handout with them or their appointment card.

Slide 19 : The Mindset Workout session Your preparation for the session: Read through the member’s file to find out what the client wants to achieve Ensure you have a supply of the Workout Mindset handout Ensure you have a supply of handouts for their next session – Fun and Relaxation.

Slide 22 : The Mindset Workout session Delivering the session: Work through the handout explaining what each section means and get the member to complete it Focus the member on refining their goal and to understand why they are coming to the club Can take some work explaining what each section means – work with the member at the level they are comfortable with.

Slide 23 : The Mindset Workout session Delivering the session: You may find that members will want to talk about things other than their fitness and that is fine It is their session so they can use it for their life or fitness goals However always aim to bring it back to why they have come to the club.

Slide 24 : The Mindset Workout session Ending the session: If the member has it ask them to sign their appointment card Give them the next handout – Fun and Relaxation Take them to reception to book their next appointment.

Slide 25 : The Mindset Workout session Always remember: You are there to gain new clients so always think about how you can sell in your services to the member Have your own literature to give out to inform the member about what you do.

Slide 26 : Working with your club Get to know the owner or manager Get to know the staff – let them know what you do Discuss how you are going to work with them to deliver the sessions: Bookings Time slots Cancellations Find out where they store all of the member’s details Find out how you can promote your services in the club

Slide 27 : Future developments We are currently developing a 30 minute seminar which will replace the 1 – 1 session This will make more effective use of your time and create energy and excitement about what you do Currently running a pilot when it is ready we will train all energie coaches in how to deliver it
