Video Conference Participation Guidelines
Students participating in this event have read at least one of the particular genre that we will be discussing at each specific session.
June 30, 7:00 pm - Mystery
July 28, 7:00 pm - Realistic
Students will have ample opportunity to ask questions during this fun, engaging and interactive learning experience!
Parents are asked to sign in and be a part of this activity with their child.
TO PARTICIPATE:
Have a computer with Internet access or plan to visit the public library at 7:00 pm on the above dates

Register and set up your account with www.WiZiQ.com a video conferencing tool which is free.
Having a webcam and microphone is nice, but not necessary to participate, you can type in comments and questions.
Read at least one example of the genre being discussed.
Plan questions or interest comments to add to the conversation during the session.
Have titles and other examples of books that you have read in that genre to share or book talk.

Do be courteous to other participants Don’t make distracting sounds Do speak clearly Don’t make distracting movements Do keep body movements minimal Don’t cover the microphone Do move and gesture slowly and naturally Don’t interrupt other speakers Do maintain eye contact by looking into the camera Don’t carry on side conversations Don't shout Don’t wear noisy jewelry BE SURE TO CHECK SOUND AND VIDEO BEFORE TIME TO START!
