We have created a suggested list of books that we think you will enjoy.
These include the books being nominated for the South Carolina Book Award for next year.
You’ll get a head start.
The techic savvy part! : The techic savvy part! On June 30 and July 14, we will be doing a live video conference that you can join in right at home on your computer.
Don’t have a computer and Internet? No big deal, just make plans to go to the public library in Lake Wylie or Clover to participate.
What is a video conference? : What is a video conference? What we’re doing right now!
If you have a webcam and a microphone you can go on live to talk about your book.
If you don’t, you can make comments and ask questions just by typing in your thoughts.
What will we talk about? : Our video conference will be set up to talk about two different types of books.
In June, we’ll all read a mystery and plan to share those.
In July, we’ll all read a realistic fiction books and share those. What will we talk about?
Who will be online? : You – if you email me to participate!
Your teachers, and of course I’ll be there. We will have webcams so you’ll be able to see us, as well as, hear our conversations.
We will tell you about books we are reading.
We’ll let you tell about the books you have read. Who will be online?
