Minutes of Meeting Date: Monday 15/02/2010 Re: Presenting Progress on Storysacks and Discussing Drama in ELT Those Present: Silvia Carola, Silvia Traiber, Cecilia Antuña, Mariel Peveri, Norma Gonzalez, Cecilia Ruiz, Brenda Paz, Cristina Parareda, Liliana Boutron, Fer Bigotti Venue: Plaza del Carmen. Rivadavia 1795, CABA 1) Susan introduced Fernanda Bigotti 2) Brenda introduced her puppets Dino and Dinosio (¿) and showed how she used them for introducing the class to new work and new language especially on the first day. We talked about using Spanish and agreed that it was Essentials at the beginning but we should wean them off it and try to have ana ll English classroom ASAP. 3) We played 3 name games and one concentration game. Everybody made notes on the procedures. 4) Susan read the minutes of the last meeting and they were approved 5) Everybody showed the progress they had made with their storysacks. The creativity was excellent and individual. Participants asked for and offered ideas, help, suggestions . 6) We discussed the Ning and how to use it. 7)Stories chosen: Cecilia: Prof Puffendorf Mariel: Little Blue and Little Yellow Cecilia R: Where’s My Mother. Liliana: Who am I? Brenda: The Farmer and the Beet Silvia T: Penny Silvia C: Maisy Norma: Jack and his Computer Cristina: Rosie the Dog Fer? 8) We discussed the Drama in ELT paper and everybody felt it was crystal clear 9) Planning meeting Nº 3 is to be held at Susan’s house on Sat 20th from 10 am to 13.00 Olof Palme 4642 Saavedra 1430 CABA
