Scalar quantity
These quantities have only magnitude and no direction. They are completely specified by a number and a unit.
Ex.Speed, distance, current, temperature
Vector quantity
These quantities possess both magnitude and direction. They are added according to laws of vectors.
Ex. Force, velocity, acceleration, displacement
