Slide 8 : Forming –ing Verbs in Spanish -ando & -iendo There are 3 types of verbs in Spanish: -ar, -er, and –ir Examples: mirar, comer, escribir -ar verbs take the –ando ending -er & -ir verbs take the –iendo ending TO FORM the –ando and –iendo verbs, drop the –ar, -er, or –ir ending on the verb, then add –ando to –ar verbs and –iendo to –er and –ir verbs.
