Do not be disappointed go there and see for yourself the beauty of Singapore, the place where I am proud to live since 1972. 20)provided by my good friend Michael Chua My 2 cents worth: 1. If it is for everyone, then I suggest you start at Pasir Ris or East Coast bike rental shops, since some may not have their own bikes. You can pre-arrange the numbers and logistics with the bike shop a few days before. 5/7 | P a g e 2. Since its not for hardcore cyclists, then I suggest you mix a guided tour and sit-in makan somewhere, like a good coffeeshop or hawkers' centre. That means you need a guide with in-depth knowledge of the area -about the brief history, the geography, the socio-makeup of the community you are passing by. eg. The mangroves, trees, shrubs in Pasir Ris Park; about the changing architecture along the way of residence, temples; previous usage of the places passed;...etc, Suggested trails for 25km (12.5km each way): 1. East Coast MacDonalds to Esplanade and back. 2. Pasir Ris Park to Joo Chiat and back. We will meet at 6/7 | P a g e Harbourfront MRT Station, take the walk up Marang Trail which leads into Mount Faber and continue towards Hort Park. We should be able to complete the hike/walk within 2hrs. For dog owners, you'd be happy to note that dogs are more than welcome as long as they are leashed and come complete with poop bags. For those who are inclined, we can head for breakfast at another location (to be decided on later). There's a good likelihood that we have to either walk back or share various cabs out of Hort Park to our brekkie location.
