U.M.I. Little Critter Animal Healing Rei~chaki Reiki An animal healing system Created by Rev Dr Anne Frances Rose Founder of United Metaphysical Institute.com International Center for Reiki Training -A Brief Overview Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "lying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words -Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an "attunement" given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life. Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it. During a meditation several years after developing Reiki, Dr. Usui decided to add the Reiki Ideals to the practice of Reiki. The Ideals came in part from the five principles of the Meiji emperor of Japan whom Dr. Usui admired. The Ideals were developed to add spiritual balance to Usui Reiki. Their purpose is to help people realize that healing the spirit by consciously deciding to improve oneself is a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience. In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value. Reiki classes are taught all over the country and in many parts of the world. The secret art of inviting happiness The miraculous medicine of all diseases Just for today, do not anger Do not worry and be filled with gratitude Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people. Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer. Pray these words to your heart and chant these words with your mouth Usui Reiki Treatment for the improvement of body and mind The founder , Usui Mikao Reiki Principles -Belief without love will make you fanatical, Duty without love will make you ill-humored, Order without love will make you pedantic, Power without love will make you violent, Justice without love will make you severe, A life without love will make you ill. Usui, taught to say the principles daily, morning and at night and before treating self and others. The principles encourage mindfulness, which is staying in the moment, which is paying attention to these conditionings. Rei~chaki-Is a system I developed that combines Reiki healing and chakra clearing. This system not only heals and clears but it also cleanses as it balances. Chakra meaning and colors are given below. Animal Chakras Chakras are centers’ of energy flow, which constantly communicate with each other, exchanging vibration information about the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual state of the body. We can channel healing energy through the chakras to help your animal re-balance on all levels. Animals have eight major chakras and they are bigger and brighter in relation to their body size than those found in humans. The Brachial Major or Key Chakra is an animal’s master chakra and directly affects all the other chakras. It is located both side of the body in the shoulder area and plays an important role in the animal-to-human bond. By giving healing through this chakra we send healing energy to the entire body. I’ve noticed, with my doggies especially, that they love a good rub and scratch in this area. At the same time, it is one of their least favorite (most painful) areas for brushing out knots, as the skin is very sensitive. If you wish to do some healing with your pet, it is important to respect their needs above all else. Here are a few pointers… Only touch, or hold your hand over, body areas and chakras that the animal is comfortable with. You will be able to tell if your pet doesn’t like where you have your hand as they will become restless and unsettled. Usually, if you stop doing whatever it was you were doing, you’ll find that they quickly settle again. It is generally a good idea to avoid directly working with areas of wounds or recent surgery, as these may still be too sensitive. As chakras link to each other, giving healing to any one chakra will affect them all beneficially so don’t concern yourself too much with having to be in a specific area. With smaller animals, there is no need to even try to focus on specific chakras as your open hand will deliver healing to several at a time. Be very sensitive to your pet and follow their guidance. If they get restless or seem discomforted when you focus on a particular body area, don’t go there. If they respond with pleasure or even further relaxation – especially if you get a nice big sigh or yawn out of them! – You’ll know you're in an area they want you to be. Don’t force your own will onto them. If you want to do it for them, then let them tell you what they need. Animal healing Reiki-Animals teach us many things. They teach us to listen, to live in the moment, to forgive and to be joyful. Animals teach us about commitment and acceptance. They are our friends, comforters, and our special people................ Reiki can help animals in many ways. It can also deepen your bond, understanding and trust between you and your animal. It can help maintain health; it can heal physical illness and injury to animals and help emotional and spiritual problems. It can help animals with issues of being high strung, nervous or trauma. Reiki brings them relaxation and stress reduction and can reduce the tendency to overcome nervousness. It can help with healing after surgery or an injury by accelerating the healing process. And for animals ready to cross the rainbow bridge it can help support you and the animal so the animal has a peaceful transition. Although Reiki has been mainly for humans it has many qualities that make it ideal for animals. It is gentle, painless, non invasive and stress free. It heals at all levels for the animal's being, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It is one of the few therapies that bring no harm to any living thing, plant or animal. It goes to the issue needing healing. It is always safe to the animal and comfortable for you and the animal. It can be given at a distance or hands on. (See chart) or Birds: Put your hands on the bird cage, or hold the bird in one hand with the other hand over top. Cats and Dogs: Place your hands behind the ears, one hand on top of the head and the other under the throat, Hands on the belly, back, hips, or specific organs. You can also treat injured or pain areas directly or through bandages. The symbols to be used are at the end of the manual. Don’t force your own will onto them. If you want to do it for them, then let them tell you what they need. Get in Tune with Your Pet's Soulful Side By Allen and Linda Anderson Have you noticed that pets demonstrate spiritual qualities--joy, unconditional love, creativity, gratitude--in abundance? If you want to develop a deeper spiritual connection with your pets, there are sacred practices that you can use. They allow human-animal relationships to move into greater awareness, enlightenment, and divine love. By using the techniques presented in this gallery, you have the opportunity to experience spiritual growth while sharing life with your pet. Paw in hand; the two of you will travel a journey of the heart together. Keep a Pet Gratitude Journal. Now is a good time to give the relationship with your pet a spiritual vitamin by starting a pet gratitude journal. Before you go to sleep at night, for as many nights as you wish, list three things you appreciate about your pet. Look at your pet and read these three items to him or her. Go to sleep with your pet on the bed, if that works for you, and fill your heart with gratitude for having such a loving presence in your life. Imagine and Dream Together -Spend silent time with your pet before going to sleep. With a gentle touch, stroke the animal. Imagine your pet as a soul inhabiting an animal body. Ask this soul to visit your dreams and communicate with you. Place your notebook and pen or a tape recorder near your bed. In the morning, before starting your day, write or record any dreams you may have had. Express Affection in Special Ways -What are the special ways that you and your pet show love and devotion to each other? What always makes you laugh? How have you learned to read each other's minds and hearts? What rituals and routines do you have? Write about your unique forms of human-animal affection in your journal. When the sad day comes that your pet passes on, it will be these memories that bring you the deepest consolation. See Life from Your Pet's Point of View At a time when no one else is around, turn off the phone and remove as many outer distractions as possible. You are creating a place where you can spend quality quiet time with your pet. Lie on the floor or get to eye level with the animal. Reflect on what it is like to see the world from your pet's perspective. From this viewpoint, observe what your pet might experience while looking at you or other human and animal family members. Ask, Why Are We Together? Grab a photograph that shows a close-up of your pet's face and eyes. Look into the image and reflect on the love between you. Ponder why this relationship is important to you. What could be the spiritual reasons that this animal is in your life right now? Have the two of you made a sacred agreement to assist each other? Reflect on these questions and write spontaneous, unfiltered answers to them. Sing a Spiritual Love Song -Did you know that singing and chanting holy songs also uplifts animals? HU (pronounced like the word hue) is an ancient love song to God that we sing personally to our pets. It tunes us into the divine love flowing through all of life. Stand or sit near your pet. Fill your heart with love. Take a deep breath. As you exhale, sing HU in a long, flowing note (HU-oo-oo-oo). Repeat a few times. Together, enjoy a spiritual boost by chanting this golden sound. Get in Touch with Nature -Take a walk in a lovely environment and allow yourself to appreciate nature. Turn this stroll into a spiritual adventure in which you are open to all gifts. Listen and enjoy as nature speaks to you, hear the delicate sounds of birds chirping. Watch as all the little critters in nature scurry about and observe squirrels darting up trees and crawling along leafy branches. Just as you and your pet inhabit a physical home as members of a family, we all share this planet with the animals. Meditate, Pray, and Relax -Many animals instinctively know how to relax and let go, making them natural mediators. During a time when your pet is resting, try sitting in a quiet room with the animal nearby or on your lap. Take a few deep breaths. Close your eyes. Stay in a soothing inner space of love, peace, and harmony for five or ten minutes. Silently pray with your heart open to receive blessings. Meditate or pray at the same time every day. Nurture Trust in Times of Emergency -Help your pet learn the spiritual quality of trust by being consistent with daily care, affection, and training. Be ready for physical emergencies. Have a pet disaster kit, emergency first aid materials, and extra food, water and prescription medications on hand. As friends and mutual guardians, know that you will make it through whatever storms come your way. Always Forgive and Show Love -One of the most frequently mentioned benefits of having pets is the unconditional love that they give. How many of us remember to return that love unconditionally? Next time your pet makes a mistake, use the spiritual practice of loving without conditions. Truly feel the words as you say to them: "I love you--no matter what." Rei~chaki Reiki symbols These Symbols are to be used before reiki begins -either drawn on the animal, hand or in the mind. Be reminded to call in your Angelic and spiritual guides. If you don’t know how use the following-This is effective in removing blockages, clearing our energy centers and bringing in Rei`Chaki healing. You can use music designed to stimulate the chakras, stones and essential oils to create a unique experience and utilize all of your senses. These stones and essential oils recommended for each chakra are, but are not the only ones available or necessary when doing healing; this is a matter of preference. Crown: Clear Quartz, Essential oils-Lavender Third eye or Brow: Amethyst, moss agate, azurite, charoite, Sugilite, Essential oils-Rosewood ,eucalyptus Throat: Lapis Lazuli, aquamarine, Celestine, Chrysocolla, turquoise, Malachite-Chrysocolla, Larimar. Essential oils-Ylang Ylang Heart: Malachite and Rose Quartz, pink calcite, green calcite, Essential oils-lotus flower Solar Plexus: Tiger Eye, Citrine, Rhodochrosite, Essential oils-lemongrass Sacral: Carnelian, Essential oils-Jasmine Root: Garnet, Smoky Quartz, Hematite, Essential oils-Cedar wood Another way to ground and balance your energy is to smudge yourself and your environment. This can be done with Sage. Sage can come in many forms and is readily available to everyone. It can be purchased at new age stores, health food stores or holistic centers. As its burns the smoke clears you, the space and anything in it. Summon Archangel Michael & his “legions of light",( Many Angels to help protect you) Align yourself with this energy. See it surround you like a warm blanket on a cold winters night, feel the unconditional love from this light. This light that you envisioned comes from source; it is the one that gives you strength. Feel or sense Archangel Michael going through you. You are the vessel in which this healing will pass through. As you direct the healing either through one or all of the chakra centers. Cleaning, Cleansing, Balancing and healing, while working through the aura filling the animal with a foams like substance, like an angel food cake with angelic filling ( this is a easier way to envision the process ). Now to seal the animal with the symbol and call in Archangel Raphael he is the healer and sealer of the Angelic realms. Think of him Coating the animal with a healing green light like substance. This will protect and seal all the holes or gaps in your aura that were made during the above process, and assist in the completing of the healing. Always remember to thank your guides, Angels, & Divine Spirit for their love and protection. Prayer of St Francis of Assisi Lord, make me an instrument of thy Peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow Love. Where there is injury, Pardon. Where there is doubt, Faith. Where there is despair, Hope. Where there is darkness, Light. And where there is sadness, Joy. O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
