It’s Coming… : It’s Coming… The Journey is going to 2 services ~Easter, April 4, 2010~
New services times
~9am & 11am~
WHY GO TO 2 SERVICES? : WHY GO TO 2 SERVICES? We want to continue reaching new people for Christ!
The 70% Rule – “Once you’re 70% full, you’re full.”
We have 350 seats – when we have 250 adults, we are FULL!
Violating this rule continually will lead to people NOT coming.
We saw this in our old space for three straight years – 2006--2008.
WHY GO TO 2 SERVICES? : WHY GO TO 2 SERVICES? The Rule of 60 – once the church grows past 60, you don’t know everyone anyway.
This will maximize our ministry teams – work one service, attend the other.
We’re growing and we need more seats for new people that come to hear the Gospel!
The need for a 2nd service is based on the move of God ~ we want to ride that wave!
Are you preparing? : Are you preparing? Do you need more workers?
Do you need to be preparing your workers?
Could your workers raise their commitment?
Do you need to pray more?
Are you prepared for the growth God WILL bring?
Deacon Reports : Deacon Reports Every quarter I am asking Ministry Leaders to prepare a report to give to the Deacons because:
It’s great to see progress
It’s great to receive insight
It’s great to ask questions
It’s great to be given encouragement
Up first are Matthew Reed & Mary Waterhouse on February 21st!
What I need from you… : What I need from you… Keep good records of attendance and numbers
Measuring goals is a healthy thing – knowing where you are is the only way to get next to where you want to be
Keep your pastoral leaders informed
If you have to be chased down and continually pursued for information, you should reconsider leadership.
Part of your leadership responsibility is keeping me or Pastor Rod informed.
March “Service Blitz” Initiative : March “Service Blitz” Initiative During the 4 Sundays in March, there will be people “working the floor” 30-45 minutes before service, specifically inviting people into areas of service.
Every person will be asked to fill out a Volunteer Card with specific ministry jobs available.
The goal is to boldly invite non-involved church members/attenders to step forward in discipleship by stepping into an area of service.
