CHANGE MANAGEMENT JOYDIP CHAKLADAR COURSE OUTLINE Course Objective : Upon Completion of the course student will able to • Create Awareness about Self on changing Enviroment. • Create Awareness on changing nature of Corporate Jobs and pressure • Mapping and improving one’s strength to manage change. • Awareness of Changing nature of Corporate Recruitment Process . • Examine the personal, interpersonal and organizational impact of change • Identify the best methods of planning for and managing change • Effectively communicate change to colleagues • Support colleagues through the emotional turmoil change can bring • Help reduce stress levels within teams during change • Manage teams effectively through complex change programmes • Measure the 'success' of change programmes • Design successful change programmes and avoid common pitfalls • Nuero Lingusitic Programming Course Duration Each Sessions are of 1-30 hours. The full course carries 15 sessions of 1-30 hours and the total duration of the course is 22.5 hours. Course Composition: Course Outline : Module 1: Personal Change Session 1 : Introduction to Change Process and Change Cycle . Session 2: 3 Stages of Personal Change and creating self awareness on Change Session 3 : Who Moved My Cheese ? Session 4 : The Pace of Change Session 5 : The Pyramid Response to Change Module 2 : Interpersonal Change Session 6 : The Four Room Apartment Strategy Session 7 : Controlling Change Session 8 : Resistance to Change Session 9 : Strategies for Dealing with Change Session 10: Stress Management Techniques Module 3 : Organizational Change Session 11 : Facts about Corporate Attitude Session 12 : Facts about Corporate Recruitment Process Session 13 : Designing Change Programs for Personal , Interpersonal and Organisational with visualizing Change thru NLP. Session 14 : Components of a good Change Program Session 15 : Pitching and convincing about your change program Evaluation During the semester, we will encounter three types of readings: chapters from certain books on Change Management, case studies, and journal articles. On some occasions, I will facilitate our conversations. On others, we will engage in simulation exercises. And on others, teams of students will lead discussion or make presentations. 10% In our course, we will analyze 3 Case Studies. For the first two , I will ask all students to submit a 1 to 2 page case analysis, which I will grade. 10% Class Preparation and Participation—Here, I am primarily interested in the quality of a students contributions to class discussions, and will use my judgment about those contributions as my first cut at the grade. However, I do know that while some students may not say as much as others in class, they are extraordinarily well prepared. Therefore, I will ask each of you to maintain a notebook of your reading notes, your reactions to class discussions, or other relevant material. At the end of the course, if you think it may help your Preparation Grade, you will have the option of submitting your notebook to me for my consideration. 20% Stress Management ,NLP,and Interview Techniques and simulations. 20% Change Management Plan presentation and documentation. 40% End term Examination 40% End term Paper Attendance Policy Given the nature of the senior seminar, I expect all students to attend every class session.
