Sketchbook Assignments : Sketchbook Assignments Sketchbook assignments are assigned every second Monday, and are to be handed in on every second Friday.
Be sure to bring your sketchbook to class every day, as you will need to use it for silent drawing exercises and class assignments. If you finish class work early, you may work on your sketchbook assignment for that week.
Be sure to spend at least 30 minutes on each sketchbook assignment. Follow the instructions carefully – make sure to add colour when instructed to do so.
Use one FULL page for each assignment. Do not draw on the back of these pages.
Modern Mona : Modern Mona Recreate the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, but place her in a contemporary setting. You may choose to use the colouring page provided in class (colour her in, and cut her out), or you can draw her on your own. Her face, hairstyle, and clothing should be recognizable, but you may change the colours, patterns, and fabric. The background should be something from modern day, and she may be holding props in her hand (ex. she could be holding a Canadian flag outside the Parliament buildings). Try not to copy the examples provided in class and do not use settings that are inappropriate for school. (Avoid liquor, drugs, alcohol, etc)
