Slide 1 : WELCOME TO THE SECRET OF COLOURS

When do we see an object ? : When do we see an object ? When light falls on an object and is reflected into our eyes, we see it.

Slide 3 : When white light passes through a prism, this is what happens.

Slide 4 : White light gets split up into seven component colors, when it passes through a prism. This process is known as DISPERSION

WHITE LIGHT IS ACOMPOSITE LIGHT. : WHITE LIGHT IS ACOMPOSITE LIGHT. The visible light has wavelength ranging from 400nm to 700nm. Each colour has a range of wavelengths. Violet has a range of wavelengths from410nm to 440nm. 650nm to 680nm is considered as red.

PRIMARY COLOURS : PRIMARY COLOURS V I B G Y O R Using R,B and G we can make any other color of light. R,B and G lights can’t be obtained by mixing other colors of light. R,B and G can be combined to form white light.
