Slide 2 : Definitions: Cooperative learning is students working together to "attain group goals that cannot be obtained by working alone or competitively" (Johnson, Johnson, & Holubec, 1986). Cooperative learning is a teaching strategy designed to promote productive and mutual learning among a group of students.
Slide 3 : Cooperative learning is a specific kind of group learning in which students work together in small groups on a structured activity. Cooperative learning is a strategy in which small teams, each with students of different levels of ability, use a variety of learning activities to improve their understanding of a subject.
