Stative verbs : Stative verbs Stative (or state) verbs describe states (things that don't change easily or quickly, for example, what you believe, think or own) rather than actions (jump, talk or buy). These verbs are not normally used in the continuous form (ing).
The Groups of stative verbs : The Groups of stative verbs Stative verbs are verbs that show a state and not an action.
You can group verbs that show a state in the following ways:-
Verbs of emotion.
Verbs of ownership or Verbs that show possession.
Verbs of the mind or Verbs that show thought .
Verbs of the senses - often used with 'can'.
