Be ye not foolish! ~ December 9,2009 revessie@.yahoo.com (Someone recently told me, "I just love making fun of demons Rev Essie!" I. The definition of a fool: A person who lacks sense or judgment. A jester, idiot, booby, goose, jacka , lunatic, nitwit, nut, simpleton. To meddle or tamper with thoughtlessly or ignorantly. To jest, joke, decieve, fritter, monkey, play, trifle, mess, tamper, tinker, banter, fun, jive, josh, kid, quip, wisecrack, dupe, delude, gull, hoodwink, mislead, trick. A. As one can see by the description above, we must be very careful how we talk. The devil plays on our words from one's mouth to another's ears. 1. Not overly-serious but not silly either. There's a healthy balance. 2. Even the bible says that God laughs but He would not have us silly. B. A fools words are many: 1. Pro 11:29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool servant to the wise of heart. b. You will always end up serving another. Always the tail. 2. Pro 18:7 A fool's mouth his destruction, and his lips the snare of his soul. 3. Pro 14:9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous tl favour. 4. Ecc 5:3!) and a fool's voice by multitude of words. 5. Ecc 10:14 A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him? C. Our words should be seasoned with salt. 1. Say nice things, speak well, not negatively. 2. Col 4:6 Let your speech alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. II. Are we to play with demons or the devil? A. What the bible says: 1. Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 2. Luk 4:41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. B. Speak with power!!! i. Luk 4:32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. a. People were astonished because Jesus spoke with such power. He didn't whisper or have an effeminate-sounding voice! He spoke with power. There are too many men now a days sounding like women and women sounding like men. And we are accepting this behavior. Women are trying to mock their pastors/husbands and they sound hard and unloving. Sounding hard is not speaking with power! They've become superficial. The devils know that. They won't run. My advice is not to play with spirits, they WILL win. Jesus didn't. He didn't turn it into a shouting match. The longest conversation recorded is in Luke 8:28-33. Even then he didn't play with them. He showed them who IS boss. You should too, through Christ Jesus and not your own power. Be blessed! Rev. Esther R. Scott aka "Rev Essie"
