Slide 4 : M4T-2                                                                                               November 16, 2009 Integrating Technology for Active Life-long Learning The ASSURE model is an instructional guide for planning and conducting lessons that integrate media and technology while focusing on the learner's needs. The ASSURE model was developed by Heinich, Molenda, Russell, Smaldino (1999). The ASSURE model is based on six classroom procedures that Analyze Learners, State Objectives, Select Methods, Media, and Materials, Utilize Media and Materials, Require Learner Participation, and Evaluate and Revise.

Slide 5 : M4T-2                                                                                               November 16, 2009 Integrating Technology for Active Life-long Learning ADDIE Analysis --> Design --> Development --> Implementation --> Evaluation During analysis, the designer develops a clear understanding of the "gaps" between the desired outcomes or behaviors, and the audience's existing knowledge and skills. The design phase documents specific learning objectives, assessment instruments, exercises, and content. The actual creation of learning materials is completed in the development phase. During implementation, these materials are delivered or distributed to the student group. After delivery, the effectiveness of the training materials is evaluated.
