(a8) Eliot Ness and a small group of nine men formed the group called “the Untouchables” Ness and his men pursued and harassed Al Capone and his operations.

Slide 2 : Although he was the ringleader of gambling, prostitution, murder, extortion, and other crimes, they knew they could not prove them in court. Decided to prosecute Capone for income-tax evasion. He was sentenced for six years After his sentence he became paralyzed and went mad from the effects of syphilis. His glory days came to and end!

In 1924 he became head of that bureau and renamed it Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) He hired only men with clean records, professional, and also were lawyers. Created “Ten Most Wanted” list became a legend for his lust for power and crossing the line while investigating other’s lives.
