After demanding that his employer, one of the world’s leading pest control companies, change their way of application – applying harmful pesticides into the earth – Aquilla Joseph, fed-up, decided to leave Corporate America to pursue his dream of owning and operating a natural (green), environmentally-friendly pest control company. Knowing that there would be great risks in starting and maintaining his own business, Mr. Joseph bravely took the challenge and invested everything he had into what he believed was “A calling from God to save the earth and it’s failing, polluted environment.” “I was despondently sick – feeling fatigued with head and body aches from applicating harsh chemicals while working for many leading pest control companies. After more than fifteen years of experience, working in the pest control industry, I felt awful for applicating such pesticides in the homes of the elderly, sick and pregnant. I knew I had to do what was consciously right – ignite the feeling of fury and spark my ambitious flame to carry the organic torch and represent what all pest control companies should aspire to achieve -applicating and providing organic, natural and safe methods to eradicate pest problems to suit the needs of the populace.” Having deep empathy for those wanting a better life and way of living, I.P.M. Botanicals was created. Aquilla decided to be the voice for those equally sick and tired of smelly, harmful pesticides being applicated into the home and environment. Aquilla “Dominic” came to a decision that extending his knowledge and education should be the first step in achieving long term success. With that said, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Etymology. He chose to continue his education by studying and researching application methods of natural pest control. He learned that he didn’t have to look very far; documents and homemade recipes were found from his native (American Indian) ancestors passed down through his family from generation to generation. Acting on impulse and inspiration, Mr. Joseph eagerly utilized Integrated Pest Management (IPM) remedies and plant extracts (Botanicals), brilliantly bearing his companies name, to start his natural and clean, green application process. “I want to raise the level of individual’s awareness and inform them that synthetic chemicals should not be considered when trying to rid pests.” That’s why he chooses to use methods such as Neem, Peppermint, Orange, Clove and Rosemary Oils, to name a few, as well as Granular Baits and Diatomaceous Earth for methods of natural application. “Dominic’s” plans are to nurture his client’s residential, institutional and/or commercial establishments by whipping it back into shape by what he calls “rejuvenating the soil and/or foundation with an all-natural spa filled experience.” He says, “The key to my success is providing natural pest control methods, guaranteeing excellent customer service and a safe clean environment at recession pricing.” Mr. Joseph seems to have the organic world in his hands at this point.
