What is a Training Package? : CSTC 2 What is a Training Package? A Training package is an integrated set of nationally endorsed components that describe the skills and knowledge needed to perform effectively in the workplace without prescribing how people should be trained.

Training Packages : CSTC 3 Training Packages provide a consistent and reliable set of components for training, recognising and assessing people’s skills they enable nationally recognised qualifications to be awardedthrough direct assessment ofworkplace competencies and they encourage learningand assessment in a work-related environment, which leads to verifiableworkplace outcomes.

What is Competency? : CSTC 4 What is Competency? Competency is the ability to perform particular tasks and duties to the standard of performance expected in the workplace. Competency requires the application of specified attitudes, knowledge and skills, relevant to effective participation in an industry, industry sector or enterprise.

TAA - 8 Fields of Competence : CSTC 5 TAA - 8 Fields of Competence

Endorsed Components : CSTC 6 Endorsed Components The endorsed components of a Training packages are: The endorsed components must be used for delivering and assessing national recognised training courses.

The Competency Standards : CSTC 7 The Competency Standards Each unit of competencyidentifies a discreteworkplace requirementand includes theknowledge and skills that underpin competency aswell as language, literacyand numeracy, and occupational safety and health requirements. The units of competency ensure consistency of outcomes.

The Assessment Guidelines : CSTC 8 The Assessment Guidelines provide an industry framework to ensure all assessments meet industry needs and nationally agreed standards as expressed in the Training Package and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO). The Assessment Guidelines ensure the integrity of assessments leading to nationally recognised qualifications.

The Qualifications Framework : CSTC 9 The Qualifications Framework provides details about what units must be achieved to gain an AQF qualification and information about the packaging rules. These rules specify which units of competency can be combined to make up a valid AQF qualification.

RTO Information : CSTC 11 RTO Information Training and assessment using Training Packages must be conducted by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The RTO for thiscourse is: ETAS Your facilitator is:John PotterA Qualified Trainerand Assessor

Recognition of Achievement : CSTC 12 Recognition of Achievement An RTO may issue aStatement of Attainmentwhen competency has been achieved inan endorsed unit. Upon satisfactory completionof all course activities and workplace projects you will receive a statement of attainmentfor demonstrating competency in the unit TAADEL301A – Conduct individual and group instruction and demonstration of work skills.
