ED 5001 Major Assignment #2
Prepare on online lesson on the following general topic per the guidelines below:
Contemporary Issues in Copyright Law and Common Practice
Credit: 25% of course grade
Length: Consider this to be one “lesson” in a context that makes sense for you.
Type: Online multimedia lesson accessible over the Internet.
References: Be sure to appropriately cite references and to credit images you use.
Format: Any appropriate multimedia online format or system may be used such as YouTube, Moodle, VoiceThread, PodCast (not just audio, please), ScreenCast.com (with Camtasia or Jing), recorded file on Elluminate or WiZiQ, and so on. The multimedia refers to some combination of narration, text, and images. You may combine media in whatever way works for your topic such as a blog/wiki with embedded audio podcasts and illustrative photos or graphs.
Directions: After reviewing the copyright topics in Units 4 and 5, choose a specific topic that relates to the general topic around which to build a lesson. The lesson can be for a class you teach, taught, or would like to teach. The lesson must be an “online” lesson in that it should be Internet accessible in its entirety.
Select one or two main topics to cover. Your narrated presentation should run 3 to 10 minutes (10 minutes is the maximum on YouTube). We’ll discuss more project details when we begin the Intellectual Property units and during our live WiZiQ session.
