FEW QUESTIONS : FEW QUESTIONS What is the usefulness of concept of Huygen’s secondary wavelets? It helps us in finding the wavefront geometrically. Light waves propagate a distance of 10 cm( l1) in glass of R.I. 1.5 (n1) in time “t”. In the same time light wave propagates a distance 12 cm in a medium of R.I.( n2) what is the value of R.I of the medium? (solved on white board) Two coherent monochromatic beams of light of intensities I and 9I are superimposed. What is the ratio of maximum and minimum possible intensities?( solved on the white board) What , if the beams are non-coherent?
