framework for induction
intro 2 induction
1. all new members gain basic @ understanding
2. all new members are integrated in their home LC, understand the structure and way of work of @Lv
3. all new members feel comfortable in the organiation, understand the opportunities available and start thinking about their own role
4. all new members start thinking about the world around and what they want their role to be
The induction process is clearly defined from global level, by the GTMU. There are 4 main blocks defined:
1. Get to know what is AIESEC
this means that the new members get basic information about the organization, it's history, strategic direction, structure,…
this will help all of us (oldies, newies,..) to 'speak the same language', and have a common understanding of the organization.
2. Challenge World View
the final product of @ is the agents of change; this is the first moment when @members start looking at the world around them, to see what their role can be
3. Personal Goal setting
this is when the new members think of that they want to gain from the organization, what they want to learn and experience.
it is advisable that in this process they are supported by a coach/buddy; personal goal setting can be strange for a new memebr at first :P
4. Joining the AIESEC network
be comfortable to come to the office, sign up to myaiesec.net, attend LC meetings and conferences…
this is the moment when the new members join our communication network, and start using it!
