Vistors to Small Group Information
Small Groups Vistors GuideWelcome to our small group ministry. I have put together a few things to help you make the most out of your time each week. Thanks for coming; it’s my prayer that you’ll be challenged and encouraged no matter where you are at in life. Why small Groups?“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.” 2Tim. 3:16 We meet to grow closer to GodGod loves you more than you can imagine. He wants good things for your life, better things than you could ever dream! He wants you to learn more about him….so come ready to grow. We meet because God Changes livesLearning truth about God with allowing that truth to RADICALLY impact your life is a crime against God. He wants to make a difference IN your life and THROUGH your life. Make the decision to impact the world for Christ. You can do it! Live in obedience to what is right. Things you can do to get the most from your small groupCommit to consistency and show up on timeBe on time show up at 6:00. If you have a schedule that conflict, come late it’s fine, but try to get here as close to 7:00 as possible. Bring your BibleBring your Bible so you can learn to use it, make notes in it, underline key verses, etc. Develop a personal quiet timeOne of the great truths about your relationship with God is that you don’t have to go to a church program in order to spend time with him and grow closer to him. In fact, if the only time you stop to focus on God is when you are “at Church” then you’re really missing out. Begin to develop your personal alone times with God, as this will push you into deeper spiritual maturity. Since most of the time we’ll be talking about God and important spiritual matters, do your best to remain focused. Everyone should be mentally involved and participate in the discussions. Not everyone feels like talking in front of others. THAT IS FINE, but you can stay focused and learn. Respect your small groupEach person signs a code of conduct to help you and the group move forward. Maintain confidentiality; be honest with your questions, fears, struggles, etc. REFUSE to PLAY IT SAFE and take a RISK. Do not let the sickness exist in your small group. Don’t talk to make conversation, but share to make a difference.
