Is. 53:10 It pleased the Lord to offer Jesus soul for sacrifice. 1. Jesus bore in the flesh the punishment of sin. !Pe2:24 2. Hebrews 9:6-7 the priest had to continually offer up. 3. Hebrews 9:11-12, 23-38 Jesus' was a one time offering. a. Rev. 3:21 Jesus is sitting down, the work is done. B. Zech. 13:1 There is a continual flow. 1. Heb9:8-14 New Testament as compared to old. Jesus made our burdens light. No more bull sacrifices, etc. 2. Purge-to make clean. Conscience. To understand, be aware. That thought process which distinguishes what it considers morally good or bad, commending the good, condemning the bad, and so promoting to do the former, and avoid the latter. a. The unsaved conscience is defiled. They keep thinking that they can do something over and over without consequence. Repeat offenders, heretics. b. Only through the Blood of Jesus are we free from condemnation and guilt that comes from a defiled and spotted conscience. C. Change. The Blood of Jesus will produce a change in a person 2 Cor. 5:17 "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.." Eze 11:19 A freshness. Feeling, the will and intelligence. Understanding. Wisdom. God can now write His Word in hearts. 1. By the blood we can enter into God's presence. The Holy of Holies. 2. Hebrews 4:14-16 Great High Priest. Go boldly to Throne. 3.
