A phrase is a group of words that go together, but do not make a complete sentence. Phrases act as a single part of speech in a sentence. A prepositional phrase begins with a preposition and ends with a noun or pronoun. The noun or pronoun at the end of the prepositional phrase is called the object of the preposition. An appositive phrase is made up of the appositive and its modifers. <div style="width:425px;text-align:left" id="__ss_481884"><a style="font:14px Helvetica,Arial,Sans-serif;display:block;margin:12px 0 3px 0;text-decoration:underline;" href="http://www.slideshare.net/theunquietlibrarian/phrases-prepositional-and-appositive?type=powerpoint" title="Phrases Prepositional And Appositive">Phrases Prepositional And Appositive</a><object style="margin:0px" width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://static.slidesharecdn.com/swf/ssplayer2.swf?doc=phrases-prepositional-and-appositive-1214250313629571-9&stripped_title=phrases-prepositional-and-appositive" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"/><embed src="http://static.slidesharecdn.com/swf/ssplayer2.swf?doc=phrases-prepositional-and-appositive-1214250313629571-9&stripped_title=phrases-prepositional-and-appositive" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="355"></embed></object><div style="font-size:11px;font-family:tahoma,arial;height:26px;padding-top:2px;">View more <a style="text-decoration:underline;" href="http://www.slideshare.net/">OpenOffice presentations</a> from <a style="text-decoration:underline;" href="http://www.slideshare.net/theunquietli
