Grammar : Some and Any : Grammar : Some and Any Some means‚ a certain (not large) number or amount of. Examples: She‘s got some interesting ideas. Could I have some coffee? Would you like some biscuits?

Grammar : Some and Any : Grammar : Some and Any We use any instead of some in negative (-) sentences, in most questions, with if, and with words like never, hardly, without, refuse, doubt (which have a negative kind of meaning).
