Description
The Literal Meaning of Whether is 'which one of the two' or 'whichever one of the two'. Whether is now primarily used as a Conjunction, a function word usually with correlative, whether to indicate a direct question involving alternatives and whether you want go there or not or an indirect question involving stated or implied alternatives 'decide whether to stay silent' alternative conditions or possibilities 'I don't want to have both of them sit together, whether by accident or design'. This is Part 2. In this part the teacher will help you practice using 'whether (or not)'. Also, she will offer more in-depth explanation about when we can replace it with 'if' and when we can omit 'or not'.
