The topic is highly topical and something that most teachers and experts can benefit from. As this is a first draft, I will look to get some feedback and improve the same over a period of time.

How to get Followers? : How to get Followers? Be clear about what you want to Tweet about : stay focused around a consistent theme. Put links to your Twitter profile everywhere. Link it on your Digg, LinkedIn, Facebook, blog, email signature, and everywhere else you live online. Mention your Twitter profile link in your public class, tests and content – it is a convenient way for students to contact you. When you speak offline, mention your Twitter profile.

How to get Followers? : How to get Followers? Save key searches related to your interest and engage/ follow other twitter users Make sure you tweet regularly and also reply to other interesting tweets. Retweeting pushes your @username into foreign social graphs, resulting in clicks back to your profile. When you get a follower, thank them by a direct message. Fill out your bio. Your latest tweets and @replies don’t mean much to someone that doesn’t know you.

Meet New People : Meet New People Use saved searches to meet new people Reply to their tweets if it is the same as your interest area : this could start a relationship Others could also find you, if you have filled your profile well and tweet regularly

Twitter asks one question, "What are you doing?" Answers must be under 140 characters in length and can be sent via mobile texting, instant message, or the web. By accepting messages from sms, web, mobile web, instant message, or from third party API projects, Twitter makes it easy for folks to stay connected.
