Slide 2 : Basic English Lesson One (1) Hello, my name is Forrest. In lesson one (1) we will learn the English alphabet. There are twenty-six letters in the English alphabet. A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z [BIG LETTERS] a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z [little letters] Red Letter are VOWELS: AEIOU and sometimes Y

Slide 5 : Printing use to be done with movable type. The type was set by hand (or manually). The capital letters were kept in the upper case (or box), so capitals were called upper case letters. The small letters came from a lower case, so they were called lower case.
