Six Sigma - a Business View
Six Sigma methodologies include a comprehensive and flexible system for achieving, sustaining, and maximizing your desired business success results.
Six Sigma is uniquely driven by understanding your customer’s critical criteria requirements and expectations. Six Sigma is not a bolt-on process to your business; it serves to achieve your organizations strategic plans – your competitive battle plans.
Six Sigma methodologies employ a disciplined use of data, statistical analysis, behavioral analysis, and diligent attention to managing, improving, and redesigning business processes to delight your customers.
We believe that each employee of your organization must have a focus on a constancy of purpose (our strategic plans). “Purpose” provides all employees with purpose, direction and decision making.
We believe all employees of your organization must have a resolve for excellence in ALL they do. The “all they do” must be in direct alignment with your organizations strategic plans.
Six Sigma is a structured and yet flexible strategy for acquiring, assessing, and applying customer, competitor, and organizational intelligence for the purposes of product, system or business innovation and design.
What does Six Sigma Tell us?
We don’t know -- what we don’t know.
We can’t do what we don’t know.
We won’t know until we measure.
We don’t measure what we don’t value.
We don’t value what we don’t measure.
A defect is defined as any part of a product or service that “Does not meet customer specifications or requirements, or causes customer dissatisfaction, or does not fulfill the functional or physical requirements.”
Why Measure
If you can’t measure it -- you can’t control it.
If you can’t control it -- you can’t manage it.
If you can’t manage it -- you cannot change it!
If you can’t change it -- you can’t grow it.
If you can’t grow it -- you will likely fall behind or be eliminated from competition!
Six Sigma is defined as -- Organizational actions in the market place that lead to a competitive advantage.
