Welcome to the Cert IBET Second Live Session Please take a second to read and follow these simple instruction designed to make our session together go smoothly: 1. Click on the "Raise hand" link to catch the tutor’s attention. (Top right) When the tutor transfers audio control to you should see a little pop-up window appear with e options "Allow" and "Deny". Click on "Allow" 2) You should now be able to speak. If not, use the cogwheel icon (top right) to test your device settings. Say "hi" to everyone using BOTH your microphone AND the text chat in the bottom right-hand corner. Type your message and click your enter key. 3) If the test fails, signal this using the text chat box (bottom right). Type your message and click your enter key. 4) If you cannot for some reason do any of the above, please leave the session, open Skype and text message me. 5) After the introductions and trouble-shooting we will start Jamie's presentation. During this PLEASE MUTE your microphones. You do this by clicking on the microphone icon (top right). All going well, we will have a question and answer session once Jamie has finished his talk. In which case feel free to turn your microphones back on. 6) During the presentation please feel free to post questions and comments in the text chat box. If you want to chat with a specific session member just add their name to the post. 7) Please note that if things start going wrong like last time, rather than wasting time, we will try the following two options: 1) I will remove all audio from the session and set up a Skype conference call for all those present and we will continue with the WiZiQ session but only for the visual part of the talk. That is why it is important that you have a Skype account and you are ready to start skype and enter the conference call (it's better not to have Skype open during the session otherwise, however.) or, if this doesn't work 2) We will regrettably call the session to a close and you will have access to a recorded version of Jamie's presentation. Many thanks for your patience, suggestions and kind words concerning this session. Fingers crossed fro a successful session one way, or the other! Carl
