Mercury : Mercury The closest planet to the sun. 1 day = 88 earth days. Heavily cratered like our moon. Over 800 degree Celsius temperature change between daytime and night time temperatures. No atmosphere. No moons.

Venus : Venus 2nd planet from the sun. Atmosphere made up of sulfuric acid and high levels of carbon dioxide. Night and day temperatures stay about the same due to its thick atmosphere. Earth’s “sister planet”- similar size, shape, and density. Surface temperature is about 90 times that of Earth’s

Mars : Mars 4th planet from the sun. Known as the “red” planet. Thin atmosphere. Believed to have contained oceans like earth, but due its thin atmosphere all of the water has evaporated. Min temp: -123 Fahrenheit Max temp: 23 Fahrenheit 1 day is 24 hours and 37 minutes
